Itinerary
Your adventure begins at 1:00 PM, when our professional and experienced guide picks you up from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we will take you on a journey through the city’s most iconic archaeological sites, starting with the Qoricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun). You’ll spend one hour exploring this remarkable site, once the most important religious center of the Inca Empire.
Next, a 10-minute drive will take us to the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Center, an impressive Inca fortress known for its colossal stone walls and breathtaking panoramic views of Cusco. Here, your guide will explain its historical and spiritual significance, including its unique Puma-shaped layout.
We then continue our journey with short visits to Tambomachay, a site dedicated to water rituals, Puca Pucara, a former military outpost, and Qenqo, a ceremonial center featuring fascinating carved rock formations.
Your day begins early at 7:30 AM, when we pick you up from your Cusco hotel and embark on a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley. Our first stop, after a 45-minute drive, is the Cochahuasi Zoo, where you’ll encounter some of the most exotic animals native to the Cusco region, including llamas, alpacas, spectacled bears, pumas, parrots, monkeys, condors, falcons, and more. This visit lasts approximately one hour.
From there, we continue to the Taray viewpoint, offering the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. Then, we proceed to Pisac Archaeological Site, where you will enjoy a guided tour of this impressive Inca complex, known for its terraces, temples, and strategic location.
After exploring Pisac, we make our way to the Pisac traditional market, a perfect place to admire and purchase handmade textiles and crafts, all organically processed by local artisans.
Next, we head to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, where we will stop for lunch. We highly recommend opting for a buffet meal, offering a variety of traditional Andean and Peruvian dishes.
Following lunch, we continue our adventure with visits to:
- Salineras de Maras, a stunning collection of thousands of salt ponds still in use today.
- Moray, a unique Inca agricultural experimentation center, featuring circular terraces that served as a natural greenhouse.
- Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site, a majestic Inca fortress with massive stone terraces and temples, marking the final stop of our Sacred Valley tour.
As the evening sets in, we will enjoy dinner in Ollantaytambo, before boarding the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes, arriving at approximately 8:30 PM. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated in a 2-star hotel, allowing you to rest and prepare for your grand visit to Machu Picchu the next day.
Your final day begins very early in the morning, ensuring you experience Machu Picchu without the crowds and have the perfect opportunity to capture the iconic postcard photo. If the weather is favorable, you will also witness the breathtaking sunrise over Machu Picchu, a truly magical sight.

The climate in our country is highly variable and does not follow the traditional four seasons. Here, in just one day, you can experience all four seasons! That’s why we recommend our visitors be prepared for any weather conditions, whether rain or sunshine.
A very important factor affecting our climate is global warming, which has become a major concern due to the melting glaciers in the Peruvian Andes. This phenomenon also impacts the usual weather patterns.
However, something very distinct in our country, especially in the Andean regions, is that we only have two main seasons throughout the year:
- Dry Season: This season lasts from the end of April until the end of September. During this time, the first rains start to appear, but overall, it is the best period to visit our region and explore the breathtaking Machu Picchu while avoiding weather-related inconveniences.
- Rainy Season: This season extends from October until the end of April. During this period, we advise all visitors to pack their belongings in waterproof bags, as the weather can change quickly—sunny mornings can turn into heavy rain in just a few hours.
We understand that extreme climates exist worldwide, but this should not deter us from the desire to explore the world, discover marvelous cultures, and interact with them. Welcome to Peru and Machu Picchu!

This mountain is located within the Machu Picchu Archaeological Park, rising 300 meters above the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel. The hike takes approximately 45 minutes up and another 45 minutes down.
Huayna Picchu Mountain preserves several archaeological remains, including the Moon Temple and other structures connected by authentic Inca trails, steps, tunnels, and naturally formed caves, making the journey even more fascinating. Undoubtedly, this is one of Machu Picchu’s top attractions. From the summit, Huayna Picchu offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel, Machu Picchu Mountain, and the famous Sun Gate (Inti Punku).
Currently, the Peruvian government, through the Ministry of Culture, regulates daily visitor access to the mountain. Only 400 tickets are available per day, divided into two groups of 200 each. The first entry slot is from 7:00 to 8:00 AM, and the second from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Due to its increasing popularity, we highly recommend booking at least three months in advance to secure your visit to this extraordinary place.
This mountain is also located within the park and is only a 1 hour and 20-minute hike on your own. Once you reach the summit, you’ll capture stunning photos with panoramic views of the entire valley where the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel is situated. You’ll also enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes Mountain range and the glaciers that protect this unique ecosystem.
The demand for permits to hike this mountain is rapidly increasing. For this reason, we recommend booking at least two months in advance, as there is a daily visitor limit for this incredible experience. The hike has two entry schedules: the first from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and the second from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a maximum of 200 people per group.
